Paper Crafted Easter Tree

Video on how to embellish an Easter Tree with paper crafting supplies.

[READ] SO many people have been requesting I do a tutorial on these so I finally gave in. There are already so many great tutorials out there but since people kept asking I figured I should just make one and post it so here it is. Supplies: ☼ Scissors (or an x-acto knife) ☼ Paper (wrapping paper, computer paper, newspaper, magazines…etc) ☼ Glue ☼ Toothpicks ☼ Glaze (Optional but definitely recommended!) Mark every 1/2 inch along a paper sheet- repeat on opposite side. Draw lines, alternating from mark to point- repeat for entire sheet of paper and cut. NOTE: If you are using an x-acto knife you do not need to mark the paper- just line up a metal ruler and cut. DO NOT use a wood ruler- you will slowly ruin the blade AND the ruler! When you get the strips line the toothpick up at the widest end of the triangle strip so the point is facing away from you. Gently ‘roll’ the paper around the toothpick like a hotdog bun- this will prime the paper and help you get it wound even more tightly! One you wrap the paper around securely make sure to leave the very last inch of the paper strip (the point) unwrapped so you can glue it. Glue the tip (not too much glue!) and keep wrapping. Any excess glue can be rubbed onto the bead- careful not to get the toothpick or you will glue your bead to the wood! Once it is dry twist it to loosen it and either remove it or glaze it. If you’re glazing make sure to not get the glaze on the toothpick! 1st coat- soaks into paper and seals it 2nd
