CRAFT Video: Paper Making with Lisa Jacobs
At the last Phoenix DIY meeting, art teacher and avid crafter Lisa Jacobs ran a paper making workshop. We learned how to use recycled office paper as the base for art papers, to which we added colored napkins for pigment and dried flowers, glitter, conductive thread, and many others as “inclusions,” the things that jazz up the paper inside and out. With some simple supplies, this is a really easy, fun, and kid friendly project. Thanks to Conspire Phoenix for hosting! More info: blog.craftzine.com

lol you used 4 pices of paper to make 1 crap paper that looks like you just put up your ass for a day XD
its not about the money-its craft
Interesting!!
It is certainly not craft. Craft is more about recycling. Maybe a cover for a scrapbook or a background for a picture display. But yet again what a waste.
Yes it blends.
If it dosen’t have to travel any farther than my house, it is more efficient than sending it off to someplace else to be recycled.
The motto is “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle” for a reason: That is listed in the number of resources ‘spent’ to make a product.
If you reuse something, no energy is lost on recycling.
If you reduce something, then less energy is used because you are recycling less.
and recycling is using more energy no matter how you look at it.
i feel bad for papermakers 1 paper =7 minutes lol
hehehehehe
Lol, if cutting the paper smashes the ‘little straws’, what the hell does blending them do?
please dont read this dont read dont read dont read. post this message on 10 videos or else your mom will die in 4 hours.
sorry. i read this by accident
Bannanashake!
can I have some too?!
few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids’ room, the father said,”Take the kids and get out of the house. We’ll call the police, we don’t have a clown statue.” The “clown statue” is really a A killer that escaped from jail. If you don’t post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
She us using paper towel to recycle paper?
what the hell…this aint sustainable..its to be done for a hobby. she used more paper in making that recycyed paper
More paper was used making this than how much paper was made
She’s a fucking dirty jew (the evil child-killing cunt).
I’d cut the arms and legs off the fat ugly jew pig and stick them in the blender. Then I’d feed the shit to wild dogs and piss on the head of the dirty evil subhuman jew.
JEWS!!!!
Also, in the time it takes to make a piece of paper without the modern machinery that made it affordable to begin with, you could have done SOOO much more for the planet. 7 minutes to make a sheet of paper is called “wasting one’s time” if I ever seen it… at the current rate (which I can clearly see could be faster, but by how much?) it would take 58 hours to make a standard stack of 500 sheets… (7mins*500sheets/60minutesPerHour)
she just went slow to show every one but with alot of laborers then it would be faster
And I also wasn’t considering that this is to make craft paper. ^.^
I say that if you want to make specific looking paper for a specific purpose, use this technique, but otherwise just buy some new paper. Doing this simply because it’s recycling is a horrible idea, unless you’re using a machine that is developed specifically for the process (because before that, paper was expensive, and it was expensive because of the time involved), at which point you might as well be a paper manufacturer. =P
A beautiful car that if I had hit while he made that turn would have sued for it and painted it red. :>)
Making paper is useful for certain purposes. I am going to make paper with seeds in it to use for wedding favors that people can take home and plant. To buy them costs $1 per tiny card (3 in. square).
This is just what I was searching for, thanks for posting this vid
If cutting the paper smushes the “little straws”, then what does blening do!!
U could hav had a directional mic btw, it would hav blocked more of the backgtound sound.
Good though!!
I was thinking the same thing, the blender is going to cut, bend and deform the paper fibers much more than cutting will. Still a helpful video!!
